Aesthetic Movement Carved Settee

Intricately carved Aesthetic Movement settee in the manner of Lockwood De Forest. Carved design is both floral and zoomorphic. Similar motifs can be found illustrated in theDe Forest book by Roberta Mayer and in De Forest's own books on Indian domestic architecture and ornament. Settee is designed to have an upholstered cushion over the cane seat.
